Equipment
At ALT-5 Productions, we use broadcast quality Standard Definition 3 CCD digital camcorders. More specifically the Panasonic DVC30. Audio is acquired with a professional shotgun microphone (Røde NTG-1) , a clip on lapel microphone (Sennheiser), or with handheld microphones (Shure, Electro-Voice). For on-location shoots, a boompole is used to mic the actors. We also have Sennheiser wireless microphones for more freedom of movement. Fluid head tripods are used for steady and smooth shots. A camera stabilization system is also available for more complex moving shots.
For presentation of your final video at an event, a projector and audio system can be provided. If a DJ is provided, the audio can be played through those speakers as well. Setup of the projector and audio can be accommodated. All projects will be provided on DVD that will work in any standard DVD player, or in a computer with a DVD reader. Projects can also be on VHS tape, or formatted for the internet (YouTube.com or this website), or for your mobile device (iPod, PSP, etc.) All advanced format conversions are extra.
